Commissioning a Pet Portrait is as easy as A-B-C...
A. Send a photo of your pet
1. The preferred method is to send me an e-mail with a High Resolution jpeg (300 dpi) of your pet as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org. This ensures that the image will contain enough detail that I can draw from to create a quality painting of your pet. Once I receive the reference photo from you I will make an evaluation and advise you if the quality of the image is sufficient in detail to guide me to make a quality painting. You can also mail a CD or USB Memory Stick with the image file
2. If you only have a photo print of your pet you can mail it to my studio and I will scan the image into my computer. Your photo print will be returned to you via USPS priority mail.
Mail photo print, CD or Memory Stick to:

B. Reference Photo Approval
I will optimize your reference photo by enhancing contrast, color saturation, retouching or eliminating distracting backgrounds etc. via photoshop. I will then send you the edited image via email for your approval to proceed with the final painting. Keep in mind the enhanced reference is just that— reference for me to paint by. Rest assured The final painting will be hand painted exclusively by myself.
C. Booking & Deposit Payment
A 50% deposit will secure your place in line. I will give you a timeline estimate of when your painting will be started and completed. Deposit payments can be made via Square to email@example.com
Shipping charges will be quoted based on destination and due with final payment.
D. Final Payment
Usually a finished painting takes about 2 to 3 weeks. to complete. You will be notified when the painting is completed along with an invoice for the final payment which will include FedEx shipping costs.
Once final payment has been made the finished painting will be carefully packed and shipped to your home or office via USPS PRIORITY MAIL.
Every painting is rendered on a quality archival canvas that is bonded to a 3/4” birch wood panel. I prefer wood panels to traditional stretched canvas. The panel provides a more stable support and is less likely to lose shape due to humidity or dry conditions. Additionally these panels are suitable to stand alone as a clean self-framed unit, perfect for exhibiting in a modern environment. Of course these panels can be framed traditionally to your taste by your own frame shop. Only the finest oil paints are used to create your painting, I use Gamblin and Williamsburg hand made colors exclusively.
PLEASE NOTE: Unlike many inexpensive pet portrait services and other online artists, my pet portraits are hand painted by myself, and are not produced or printed digitally or in a automated factory type of environment.
